Lars Olson is a lifelong Hoosier and a graduate of Lawerence North High School. His educational studies brought him to Purdue University where he joined the Army ROTC Program. Upon graduating from Purdue, Lars was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army with a focus on logistical and operational planning. While in the Army, Lars deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After leaving the Army, he applied his skills to manufacturing and logistical planning. However, he was not content working in civilian logistics and made the fateful decision to return to school.
As an attorney, Lars has focused his practices on family law, protective orders, and criminal defense work. He began his legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Marion County, eventually joining Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office. As a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, he focused on battery, special victims and offenses against the person. He has tried several jury trials and bench trials, ranging from misdemeanors to major felony cases.
Lars’ experience and practices areas in Family Law include Divorce, legal separation, division of assets, child custody, Child in Need of Services (CHINs), establishing paternity, protective orders and post decree modifications. With his experience, Lars has represented clients through all phases of litigation and negotiation.
Lars is a dedicated father and husband who spends most of his days chasing after his three boys. Lars is also an avid gamer who enjoys all forms of gaming, ranging from video games to tabletop games. In his spare time, he travels with his wife and family to explore and enjoy new experiences.
